BerryCam — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-13 · 한국어
BerryCam (the “App”) takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains how information is handled.
The App has no sign-up. It does not collect your name, email, phone number, location, or advertising identifier (IDFA). It does not collect the photos you take, the child names you enter, or face analysis results.
To improve the App, we collect only the following usage statistics:
- How many times features are used, such as taking a photo, tagging a child in a photo, and sharing or exporting photos
- App launches and time spent in the App
- An identifier for the App installation, and basic device information such as device model and OS version
These statistics are collected through Firebase Analytics by Google LLC. They are not combined with information that identifies you, and they are not used for advertising or tracking. For details, see Google’s Privacy Policy.
2. How Photos You Take Are Handled
- Photos taken with the App are stored only in the App’s internal storage on your device.
- They are not sent to the developer’s servers, and the developer cannot access your photos.
- The App does not automatically upload your photos anywhere. Taking photos, viewing photos, and sorting them by child all work without a network connection.
- Photos taken with the App are not saved to the iOS Photos app (photo library). They are copied to your photo library only when you choose “Save to Photos”.
- Photos leave the App only when you choose to share them yourself, as described in Section 5.
3. Sorting by Child and Face Analysis
- The child names you enter and the tags you assign to photos are stored only on your device.
- To suggest which child to tag in a photo, the App analyzes the faces in your photos. The analysis happens only on your device, and the results (face feature values) are also stored only on your device. Photos and face information are not sent to the developer’s servers or to any third party.
- Face analysis results are used only to suggest children, and for no other purpose.
- When you delete a photo or a child, the related information is deleted with it. Uninstalling the App deletes everything.
4. Device Permissions
The App uses the following permissions:
- Camera: used to take photos.
- Add Photos permission: used when you choose “Save to Photos”, to export photos from the App to the iOS photo library. This permission is used only to add photos; the App does not read existing photos in your photo library.
You can deny these permissions. If you do, only the related feature will not work.
5. Sharing Photos
When you use the share feature, the iOS share sheet opens. You choose which app to send the photos to and who receives them. What happens after that is governed by the privacy policy of the receiving app. BerryCam does not choose or record the recipient.
6. Disclosure to Third Parties and Outsourcing
The App does not sell your information. It uses Google LLC (Firebase Analytics) to collect usage statistics. The App includes no SDKs for advertising or tracking.
7. Retention and Deletion
- Photos, child names, and face analysis results are kept on your device until you delete them in the App.
- Uninstalling the App also deletes the photos and information kept inside it, and they cannot be recovered. Please export any photos you want to keep beforehand with “Save to Photos”.
The App is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
If the App is used to take photos of children, the App user is responsible for obtaining consent for taking and using those photos. The App does not collect photos or face information, and does not send them off the device.
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in law, policy, or the service. Any changes will be announced on this page.
